Robert Cipolloni - Dwelling | Real Estate

Robert Cipolloni relocated from the East Coast to Los Angeles in 1989 and had a number of business opportunities, all preparing him for his real estate career. Almost six years ago, Robert moved full-time to Greater Palm Springs, where he made home to his current company, DWELLING™ | REAL ESTATE, utilizing his previous experience as a branch and regional manager for other organizations.  

 

DWELLING™ | REAL ESTATE provides leasing, sales, and consulting for residential and commercial properties, and specializes in properties going through the probate process.
 

We asked Robert a few questions to get to know him better. 

What makes your company unique from other similar businesses? 

We are a unique full-service consulting firm. While most brokerages offer their agents “splits,” Dwelling offers 100% compensation with a tiered sliding scale of transaction fees which are tax-deductible. Our in-house Director of Marketing allows for customized marketing specific for each property listed.  

How does your business support the LGBTQ and greater Coachella Valley communities? 

DWELLING™ | REAL ESTATE is a certified LGBTQ Business Enterprise that supports LGBTQ+ organizations through fundraising and education. Our future vision is to develop local talent into our profession by offering real estate educational opportunities to the LGBTQ community, allowing members to grow and prosper in this challenging, yet rewarding industry.

What have been some of your biggest learning experiences in running a business? 

Stay committed to the vision of your dream. Continue educating yourself at every level -- and be coachable! All team members must share the vision and possess a copilot mentality! 

What advice would you give someone starting a business? 

Plan, plan, plan, and put your vision on paper. If it’s in your head, it’s only an idea; when it’s on paper, it’s a plan! 

Where do you see your business in 5 years? 

In our first three years, we have established two locations and are on a trajectory for five+ locations in 10 years. Beyond real estate, I see myself as a future keynote speaker, a provider of expert witness testimony opining in legal proceedings, and further developing the education and community networking arm of Forward Vision, INC™, our parent company. Obviously, I don’t have any plans to retire anytime soon!
